What is it?

If you want to watch the football or a movie and your children want to watch CBEEBIES this is the option for you!

Multiroom is the installation of more than one SKY box in a property. There are a number of combinations:

• SKY+ and  a standard SKY box
• Two SKY+ boxes
• SKY+ and two standard Standard SKY boxes
• SKY + and a SKY HD
• Two SKY HD boxes
• Two, Three or Four standard SKY boxes

Multiroom allows you to watch a different SKY programme on each SKY box at the same time. No more arguing over the remote control!

How can I monitor my childs viewing?

As with ALL SKY boxes the Parental Control function helps you to restrict what your children watch. You can bar certain channels for a specific time or all the time.

How much will it cost?

This depends on the combination of SKY boxes you go for and the viewing package you select. For the latest information it is best to contact us. The most common option is an existing SKY customer who wants to upgrade to SKY+ and use their existing SKY box in another room. This would cost £99 for the SKY+ box, standard installation is FREE OF CHARGE. However, not every job is a standard installation and there could be further costs involved, in which case our engineers will always inform you of these before proceeding with the installation. All multiroom boxes must be connected to the same working phone line.

There is an additional £10 a month subscription for a Mirror Card. This card provides the same viewing package as the main card.

Can I watch Sky on more than one TV?

YES- you can watch SKY programmes on more than one TV in your house by having a cable wired from your SKY box/es directly to one other TV OR a SKY link can be installed to send SKY to all the TV’s in your house. It is also possible to install “magic eyes” which allow you to control the SKY box/es from other rooms in the house. It is possible to have two boxes on the SKY link, one standard and one SKY+ for example.

If your home is a LISTED BUILDING or in a CONSERVATION AREA we can survey the property and advise on a discreet location for the satellite dish. This may involve installing the dish on an out building or in the garden or even spraying the dish to blend in with the brickwork. If you need to submit drawings to obtain planning permission we could prepare these for you.

All our work is carried out by our qualified engineers and is fully guaranteed for 12 months.

If you require advice on TV aerials, extra points, extending your SKY system, FM or DAB we can provide you with a fully Integrated Reception System (IRS). We are also able to provide a full design and quotation service.

Can I receive channels in other languages?

YES – There are a number of satellites which provide a wide range of programmes in a variety of languages. These include French, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Polish, Chinese and many others.

If you require specific channels it is a good idea to identify which satellite broadcasts them. What Satellite Magazine is a good place to find the details or you can look on the Lyngsat website at www.lyngsat.com

We can advise you of what size satellite dish and which receiver would be suitable. We can carry out a site survey if necessary prior to installation.
